My pastor also faced creative conflict many many many many many many times a day. The occupation of being a pastor calls for dealing with many different individuals: scheduling, organizing, debating, negotiating, etc. Every day my pastor is constantly attending about 4-5 meetings with other pastors and/or organizations. He is always planning and trying to organize certain joint events with other church's, and in order to do so, he must meet with the ones in charge of the church's and speak with them trying to come to an agreement. Creative conflict is when a person confronts others in ways that produce growth.
My pastor also has about 2-3 assistants, co-pastors, who help him out with prioritizing and such. There had been many conflicts in the past, and more to come in the future, with my pastor and his co-pastors. For example, when one co-pastor did not follow through with something, my pastor, pastor Jun, was very displeased. This is an example of a creative conflict because after discussing with each other the problem and solutions, both the co-pastor and pastor learned something. They learned that next time, when the co-pastor agrees to do something, he must follow through with his promise.
